Privacy Policy
Privacy summary. Scanora PDF Scanner has no advertising tracker and no Scanora document server. Your documents stay on your device unless you choose a system import/export destination or enable Apple iCloud synchronization.
Camera, Photos, and Files
Scanora requests camera access when you scan. It accesses Photos, Files, or iCloud Drive only when you choose an import action or select a file in an Apple system picker. Scanora does not scan your library in the background.
On-device processing
Page cropping, filters, rotation, and on-device OCR are processed locally. Recognized text is stored with the local document package so you can search or copy it. Scanora does not send page images or OCR text to a Scanora server.
Local storage and deletion
Documents, edits, thumbnails, OCR indexes, signatures, stamps, and settings are stored in the app’s local container. You can delete documents and cached previews from the app. Deleting a document removes its local package subject to normal operating-system backup and deletion behavior.
Optional iCloud synchronization
Scanora Pro can synchronize the Scanora document library through the user’s Apple iCloud container. This is user-controlled and can be stopped from Settings. Apple controls iCloud storage and account access. The Pro boundary does not change who owns your documents; expiration stops two-way synchronization but does not delete or lock owned documents. A read-only recovery path can download previously synchronized documents for viewing or watermarked export.
StoreKit purchases
Apple handles payment, billing, refunds, and subscription management through StoreKit and your Apple ID. Scanora reads verified entitlement metadata such as product and expiration status; it does not receive full payment-card data. Unverified transactions never unlock Pro.
Face ID and App Lock
When you enable App Lock, Scanora uses Apple LocalAuthentication. Scanora receives only the authentication result and does not collect or store biometric data.
Diagnostics and support
Scanora has no hidden analytics claim. If you contact support, you choose what diagnostic details to provide. Please do not send confidential document contents; app version, iOS version, device model, operation, and exact error text are usually enough.
Children and policy updates
Scanora is not directed to children. We may update this policy when the product or law changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
